The two parts of training are done at the same time. You can get certified by taking the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program exams right after you complete your training. During retakes, an applicant is only required to take the exam, he or she failed. The CNA can show this card to his employer to prove that he has met all requirements necessary to work as a full-time nursing assistant in a federal long-term care facility.
